Spring Crockpot Candy Recipe

  • Author: Julian
  • Total Time: 2 hours
  • Yield: Approximately 45 servings 1x

Description

Spring Crockpot Candy is a delightful and easy-to-make treat perfect for festive occasions. Using a slow cooker, roasted and honey roasted peanuts are combined with melted vanilla almond bark, mini marshmallows, pastel M&Ms, and festive bunny sprinkles to create delicious bite-sized candies. This no-bake recipe requires minimal effort and yields a large batch of sweet, crunchy, and creamy candies ideal for sharing or gifting.

Ingredients

Scale

Peanuts

  • 16 oz jar roasted salted peanuts
  • 16 oz jar honey roasted peanuts

Base

  • 2 (24 oz each) vanilla almond bark

Add-ins

  • 1 ½ cups mini marshmallows
  • 1 cup pastel M&Ms
  • Bunny sprinkles mix (for topping)

Instructions

  1. Prepare Ingredients: Toss the roasted salted peanuts and honey roasted peanuts into your crockpot. Then, break up the vanilla almond bark into pieces and scatter it evenly on top of the peanuts. Avoid stirring at this point to allow the almond bark to melt undisturbed.
  2. Cook the Mixture: Place the lid on the slow cooker and set it to LOW heat for one hour. After one hour, remove the lid and stir the mixture thoroughly. If you notice any lumps or unmelted pieces of almond bark, cook for an additional 15 minutes on LOW until the mixture is smooth and creamy.
  3. Cool the Mixture: Turn off the crockpot and let the candy mixture sit at room temperature for 30 to 45 minutes. This resting time allows the mixture to cool down and thicken slightly while remaining pliable.
  4. Add Mix-Ins: Once the chocolate mixture is cool but still creamy and malleable, fold in the mini marshmallows and pastel M&Ms gently to distribute them evenly throughout the candy.
  5. Form Candies: Use a cookie scoop or tablespoon to drop spoonfuls of the candy mixture onto baking sheets lined with parchment paper. Quickly press a few extra pastel M&Ms and bunny sprinkles on top of each candy before they begin to harden to create a festive look.
  6. Set the Candies: Allow the candies to set at room temperature for about 1 hour until firm. Alternatively, you can place the baking sheets in the refrigerator for 20 to 30 minutes to speed up the setting process before serving or storing.

Notes

  • Make sure not to stir the almond bark and peanuts when first placed in the crockpot so the melting process is even.
  • If almond bark isn’t melting smoothly after initial cook time, continue cooking in 15-minute increments and stirring as needed.
  • Store candies in an airtight container at room temperature or refrigerated for longer freshness.
  • Substitute different types of nuts or candy mix-ins as desired for personalization.
  • This recipe yields a large batch, perfect for parties or gifting during holidays.
