Ingredients
Scale
Wonton Cups
- 12 wonton wrappers
- Cooking spray
Dip Filling
- 1/2 of a 10-oz. package frozen spinach, thawed and very well-strained
- 1 (8-oz.) can artichoke hearts, drained and finely chopped
- 1/3 cup mayonnaise
- 1/4 cup sour cream
- 2 oz. cream cheese, at room temperature
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
Instructions
- Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) to prepare for baking the wonton cups.
- Prepare Wonton Cups: Place each wonton wrapper into the cups of a standard 12-cup muffin pan, gently pressing to shape them. Lightly spray the wrappers with cooking spray to ensure they bake to a crispy golden texture. Bake for 5 minutes, then remove from the oven and set aside to cool slightly.
- Make the Filling: In a medium bowl, combine the finely chopped artichoke hearts, well-strained thawed spinach, mayonnaise, sour cream, softened cream cheese, grated Parmesan cheese, and minced garlic. Stir thoroughly until the mixture is smooth and evenly blended.
- Assemble and Bake: Spoon the spinach-artichoke mixture evenly into each baked wonton cup. Return the filled muffin pan to the oven and bake for 10 to 12 minutes, or until the filling is warmed through and the wonton cups turn a beautiful golden brown.
- Serve: Remove from the oven and let the cups cool slightly before serving. Enjoy these crispy, creamy appetizers warm.
Notes
- You can prepare the filling a day ahead and refrigerate it until ready to assemble.
- Ensure spinach is very well-drained to prevent soggy wonton cups.
- Feel free to add a pinch of red pepper flakes for a spicy kick.
- Serve with your favorite dipping sauce or enjoy them as is.
- Leftovers can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 2 days and reheated briefly before serving.
