Samoa Martini Recipe

  • Author: Julian
  • Total Time: 5 minutes
  • Yield: 1 martini 1x

Description

The Samoa Martini transforms the beloved Girl Scout Samoa cookie into a decadent dessert cocktail. Combining chocolate liqueur, vodka, cream of coconut, caramel, and fudge sauces, this rich and creamy martini offers the perfect balance of chocolate, caramel, and coconut flavors. Garnished with chocolate drizzle, whipped cream, toasted coconut, and a Samoa cookie, it’s an indulgent treat ideal for anytime you want a grown-up dessert in a glass.

Ingredients

Scale

Martini Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 ounces creme de cocoa
  • 1 1/2 ounces vodka (mid-level like Tito’s recommended)
  • 2 ounces cream of coconut (sweetened)
  • 1 ounce caramel sauce
  • 1 ounce fudge sauce

Garnish

  • Chocolate drizzle for garnishing glass
  • Whipped cream (optional)
  • Toasted coconut (optional)
  • Samoa cookies (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Prep the glasses: Drizzle chocolate syrup or sauce around the inside of your martini glasses to create a decorative and flavorful swirl. Place the glasses in the freezer to chill while you prepare the cocktail.
  2. Combine ingredients: In a shaker cup, add the creme de cocoa, vodka, cream of coconut, caramel sauce, and fudge sauce. Use a whisk, immersion blender, or milk frother to thoroughly mix the ingredients, ensuring the sauces are well broken down and evenly distributed.
  3. Shake with ice: Add ice cubes to the shaker and shake vigorously until the shaker exterior feels very cold, indicating the drink is chilled.
  4. Strain and garnish: Strain the cocktail into the prepared chilled martini glasses. Top with whipped cream and sprinkle toasted coconut on top if desired. Garnish each glass with a whole Samoa cookie on the rim for a delicious finishing touch.

Notes

  • Use sweetened cream of coconut, not coconut cream, as they differ in sweetness and consistency.
  • For an extra indulgent twist, add a scoop of vanilla ice cream to the glass after pouring the martini to create a boozy float.
  • Serve immediately to maintain the cold temperature and best flavor.
  • To toast coconut at home, lightly toast shredded coconut in a dry skillet over medium heat until golden and fragrant.
  • If you prefer, prepare the chocolate drizzle using a high-quality chocolate sauce or ganache for a rich accent.
