Ingredients
Scale
Tea Base
- 0.5 cups Hot Water (essential for brewing white tea)
- 1 bag White Tea Bag (use 2 for a bolder taste)
- Honey to taste (optional, adjust to preference)
- Ice Cubes to taste (essential for chilling the drink)
Juice Mix
- 1 cup Guava Juice (minimally processed for best flavor)
- 0.25 cups Lemon Juice (freshly squeezed recommended)
Instructions
- Boil Water: Bring the water to a rolling boil, ensuring it is hot enough to properly steep the tea.
- Steep White Tea: Remove the boiling water from heat, dissolve honey if using, then steep the white tea bag in the hot water for about 10 minutes to extract the delicate flavors.
- Chill Tea: Remove the tea bag after steeping and add ice cubes to cool the tea quickly and prepare it for mixing.
- Prepare Juice Mix: In a pitcher, thoroughly mix the guava juice and freshly squeezed lemon juice to combine the sweet and tart flavors.
- Assemble Drink: Fill serving glasses with ice cubes, then pour the cooled tea mixture over the ice, followed by the guava-lemon juice mix if preferred layered or combine in the pitcher before serving for an even blend.
Notes
- For a stronger tea flavor, use two tea bags instead of one during the steeping process.
- Adjust the honey quantity based on your sweetness preference or omit entirely for a sugar-free option.
- Fresh lemon juice greatly enhances the drink’s brightness compared to bottled lemon juice.
- Use minimally processed guava juice for a natural and vibrant flavor profile.
- This drink is best served immediately after preparation to retain the freshness of the citrus and tea flavors.
