Instructions

  1. Cream Butter and Sugars: In a large mixing bowl, cream the softened butter with the brown sugar and white sugar for 4 minutes or until the mixture is light and fluffy. This step ensures the sugars are well incorporated and the texture is smooth.
  2. Add Wet Ingredients: Add the peanut butter, egg, milk, and vanilla extract to the creamed mixture. Continue to beat for another 2 minutes, scraping down the sides of the bowl frequently to ensure even mixing.
  3. Combine Dry Ingredients: Stir together the flour, baking soda, and salt. Gradually mix these dry ingredients into the wet mixture until just combined. For best texture, refrigerate the dough for about 30 minutes, if time allows.
  4. Prepare for Baking: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Roll the dough into 1-inch balls, then roll each ball in sugar to coat evenly.
  5. Bake the Cookies: Place the sugar-coated balls on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper or a silicone mat. Bake for 8 to 10 minutes, or until the cookies are cooked through but remain soft and chewy.
  6. Add Hershey’s Kisses: While the cookies are still warm, quickly unwrap the Hershey’s Kisses. Press one Kiss into the center of each cookie immediately after removing them from the oven. Allow the cookies to cool on the baking sheet, so the chocolate sets in place before removing.
