Description
These Easy Tiramisu Cups are a no-bake, delightful party dessert combining creamy mascarpone layers with espresso-soaked ladyfingers. Quick to assemble and perfect for impressing guests, these individual servings meld into a rich, smooth treat dusted with cocoa powder.
Ingredients
Scale
Mascarpone Cream
- 250 g Mascarpone cheese
- 1 cup Heavy cream
- ¼ cup Sugar
- 1 tsp Vanilla extract
Other
- 1 cup Espresso or strong coffee, cooled
- Ladyfinger cookies, quantity as needed for layering
- Cocoa powder, for dusting
Instructions
- Prepare the Cream: In a mixing bowl, beat the mascarpone cheese, heavy cream, sugar, and vanilla extract together until the mixture becomes thick and smooth, forming stiff peaks. Stop beating once the cream holds its shape to avoid over-whipping.
- Dip Ladyfingers: Briefly dip the ladyfinger cookies into the cooled espresso or strong coffee. Be careful not to soak them to prevent soggy layers; a quick dip is sufficient.
- Layer the Dessert: Begin layering by placing dipped ladyfingers at the bottom of small cups or glasses, then spoon a layer of the mascarpone cream over them. Repeat the layering once to build two layers each of cookies and cream. Smooth the top gently with a spoon or spatula.
- Chill and Serve: Refrigerate the assembled tiramisu cups for 2 to 4 hours to let the flavors meld and the cream set. Just before serving, dust the tops with cocoa powder. Serve cold for the best flavor and texture.
Notes
- Do not soak ladyfingers for too long to maintain texture.
- Use freshly brewed espresso or strong coffee, cooled completely before dipping.
- Chilling time is important for setting the cream and blending flavors.
- These cups can be prepared a day ahead and refrigerated.
- For a boozy variation, add a tablespoon of coffee liqueur to the espresso before dipping ladyfingers.
