Instructions
- Cut Sauce: Open the can of jellied cranberry sauce and carefully cut it into approximately ½-inch thick discs, slicing about two full “ribs” based on the can’s imprint for uniform shapes.
- Freeze Rounds: Arrange the cranberry sauce discs on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper or a silicone mat. Place the sheet in the freezer for at least 30 minutes to firm up the sauce, which aids in easier and cleaner dipping. Freezing longer or preparing in advance is also fine.
- Melt Chocolate: Combine the dark chocolate chips and the optional coconut oil in a microwave-safe bowl. Microwave on high for 1 minute, then stir. Continue heating in 15-second increments, stirring between each, until the chocolate is fully melted and smooth.
- Dip: Remove the frozen cranberry sauce discs from the freezer. Using a fork, submerge each disc completely into the melted chocolate, allowing the excess chocolate to drip off before placing them back onto the lined baking sheet. Repeat for all discs.
- Harden: Transfer the baking sheet back to the freezer for approximately 30 minutes or until the chocolate coating is fully set and firm. Once hardened, the bites are ready to enjoy!
