  • Author: Julian
  • Total Time: 15 minutes
  • Yield: 4 servings 1x

Description

These Chicken Caesar Wraps combine crisp romaine lettuce, tender cooked chicken, creamy Caesar dressing, and savory Parmesan cheese all wrapped in warm, soft tortillas. Perfect for a quick lunch or light dinner, they offer the classic flavors of a Caesar salad in a convenient handheld form that’s ready in just 15 minutes.

Ingredients

Scale

Salad Mixture

  • 3 cups chopped romaine lettuce
  • 1 1/2 cups chopped cooked chicken (grilled, fried, or rotisserie)
  • 1/3 cup Caesar dressing
  • 1/3 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/2 cup homemade croutons
  • Kosher salt, to taste
  • Freshly ground black pepper, to taste

Wraps

  • 4 flour tortillas or wraps (10-inch)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Salad Mixture: In a large bowl, combine the chopped romaine lettuce, cooked chicken, Caesar dressing, Parmesan cheese, and homemade croutons. Use tongs to toss everything together evenly. Taste and season with kosher salt and freshly ground black pepper as needed. If you prefer more dressing, add a little at a time to your desired taste. Set this mixture aside.
  2. Warm the Tortillas: Heat a large pan over medium heat and warm each tortilla for about 15 to 30 seconds on each side until they become pliable. Alternatively, you can warm them in the microwave by placing tortillas between paper towels and heating for 15 to 30 seconds. Once warmed, place the tortillas on a plate and cover with a kitchen towel to keep warm.
  3. Assemble the Wraps: Lay each warm tortilla flat on a clean surface. Distribute the prepared Caesar salad mixture evenly in the center of each tortilla. Fold the opposite sides of the tortilla inward, then roll it up tightly like a burrito to encase the filling. To secure the wrap, you may insert a toothpick in the center. Finally, cut the wraps in half or serve them whole according to preference.

Notes

  • Use rotisserie chicken to save time and add more flavor.
  • You can substitute store-bought croutons if homemade are not available.
  • For a healthier option, use whole wheat or gluten-free tortillas.
  • These wraps can be made ahead and stored in the refrigerator for up to 24 hours before serving.
  • To avoid sogginess, add the croutons just before wrapping or serve them on the side.
