Delicious bite-sized stuffed mushrooms filled with a creamy, cheesy garlic mixture and baked to golden perfection, perfect as an appetizer or snack.

Ingredients

Scale

Mushrooms

  • 12 mushrooms, stems removed

Filling

  • 1/2 cup cream cheese, softened
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 tbsp breadcrumbs
  • 1 garlic clove, minced

Instructions

  1. Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) to ensure it’s ready for baking the mushrooms evenly.
  2. Prepare Filling: In a medium bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, grated Parmesan cheese, breadcrumbs, and minced garlic. Mix thoroughly until all ingredients are well incorporated into a creamy filling.
  3. Stuff Mushrooms: Carefully spoon the cheese mixture into each mushroom cap, filling them generously but evenly to ensure each bite is flavorful.
  4. Bake: Place the stuffed mushrooms on a baking sheet and bake in the preheated oven for 15 to 20 minutes, or until the tops are golden and the mushrooms are tender.

Notes

  • You can substitute Parmesan with Pecorino Romano for a sharper flavor.
  • If you prefer a crunchy topping, sprinkle extra breadcrumbs over the filled mushrooms before baking.
  • These mushrooms are best served warm right out of the oven.
  • To make this recipe vegetarian, ensure the Parmesan cheese is made with vegetarian rennet.
