  • Author: Julian
  • Total Time: 20 minutes
  • Yield: 4 servings 1x

Description

Air Fryer Pineapple Chunks are golden, caramelized, and irresistibly juicy with crisp edges and a warm cinnamon-honey flavor. This quick 10-minute recipe makes the perfect sweet snack, light dessert, or tropical side dish without the need for an oven.

Ingredients

Scale

Ingredients

  • 1 medium fresh pineapple (about 3 cups chunks)
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil or coconut oil
  • ½ teaspoon ground cinnamon (optional)
  • 1 tablespoon honey or maple syrup (optional)
  • Pinch of salt

Instructions

  1. Prep the pineapple: Cut off the top and bottom of the pineapple. Stand it upright and slice off the skin in strips. Remove the eyes with a small knife and cut into 1-inch chunks.
  2. Season: In a mixing bowl, toss pineapple chunks with oil, cinnamon (if using), honey or maple syrup (if using), and a pinch of salt until evenly coated.
  3. Preheat air fryer: Preheat air fryer to 400°F (200°C) for 2 minutes.
  4. Air fry: Arrange pineapple chunks in a single layer in the air fryer basket. Cook for 8–10 minutes, shaking halfway through, until golden brown with caramelized edges.
  5. Serve: Carefully remove and serve warm on their own or with vanilla ice cream.

Notes

  • Do not overcrowd the basket; cook in batches if needed for crisp edges.
  • Fresh pineapple works best for caramelization.
  • If using canned pineapple, drain and pat dry thoroughly.
  • Best served warm, but leftovers can be refrigerated for up to 3 days.
  • Reheat at 350°F for 2–3 minutes in the air fryer.
