Description

This easy and delicious 20-minute air fryer bacon wrapped green beans recipe features crispy bacon wrapped around tender fresh green beans with a hint of garlic, cooked perfectly in the air fryer. Ingredients

Scale

Ingredients

  • 12 slices uncured bacon
  • 30 fresh green bean stalks, trimmed

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Green Beans: Wash the green bean stalks thoroughly under cold water, then pat them dry with a clean towel. Trim the ends off each stalk to ensure they cook evenly.
  2. Wrap Green Beans with Bacon: Take about two or three trimmed green beans and bundle them together. Wrap one slice of uncured bacon tightly around each bundle, making sure the bacon overlaps slightly and tuck the ends underneath to keep them secure.
  3. Arrange Bundles for Air Frying: Place the bacon-wrapped green bean bundles seam side down in a single layer in your air fryer basket. If needed, work in batches so bundles aren’t crowded, allowing even airflow and crisping.
  4. Air Fry Until Crispy: Air fry the bundles at 380°F (193°C) for 10-15 minutes until the bacon is cooked through and crispy. Check at the 10-minute mark and cook longer if a crispier texture is desired. Flip the bundles halfway through cooking for even crisping.

Notes

  • Use fresh medium-sized green beans for best texture; thawed frozen can be used if fully dried.
  • Do not overcrowd the air fryer basket to ensure even cooking and crispy bacon.
  • Secure bacon ends under the bundles and use toothpicks if needed to prevent unraveling.
  • You can substitute regular cured bacon or turkey bacon, adjusting cooking time as necessary.
  • Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days; reheat in the air fryer at 350°F for 3-4 minutes.
  • Wrapping green beans in bacon a few hours ahead is possible but avoid doing so too far in advance to prevent sogginess.
  • Try asparagus or thick carrot sticks as alternative vegetables for wrapping.
